The Ghana Integrated Iron and Steel Development Corporation (GIISDEC)  participated in the 2026 Mining in Motion Summit, a two-day event held from 19 to 20 October 2026.

The summit brings together key mining stakeholders to advance Africa’s mineral future, promote investment, strengthen regional cooperation, and accelerate local mineral processing and value addition.

GIISDEC’s participation underscores the Corporation’s commitment to advancing Ghana’s iron and steel industry, promoting the sustainable development of the country’s mineral resources, and supporting efforts to maximise local value addition.
The Corporation was represented by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Finance and Administration), Deputy Director for Corporate Affairs and International Relations, and Manager, Geology.
