GIISDEC in the past week has had crunch meetings with the following organizations as part of efforts to mobilize more inputs from stakeholders for inclusion in the master plan to enhance smooth take off and running of Ghana’s iron ore deposits.
Ghana ports and Harbor: Provide inputs and support in all areas relating to importation of critical raw materials like coal and exportation of finished steel products.
Ghana Railway Authority: Inputs on effective railway transportation and infrastructure management.
Ghana Highways Authority: Provide available and feasible options for effective trunk road and other types of roads needed in operating an efficient Iron and Steel Industry.
Water Resources Commission: Held further deliberations on the available surface and ground water resources around project sites, including regulatory frameworks critical to the mining and operation of an Iron and Steel Industry.
