Hon. Williams Okofo-Dateh is a visionary leader and change maker with over 15 years of multifaceted experience across governance, business development, project management, and strategic leadership. His career reflects a strong commitment to sustainable development, community empowerment, and transformational leadership through innovation and collaboration.
From January 2021 to January 2025, Mr. Okofo-Dateh served as the Member of Parliament for the Jaman South Constituency in the Bono Region of Ghana. His tenure was marked by the implementation of several impactful initiatives, including the MP’s Free Apprenticeship Program, the MP’s Water for All Program, and a scholarship scheme that supported 398 academically gifted but financially challenged students. He also led efforts to boost agricultural entrepreneurship by training and resourcing over 200 youth in animal rearing, and initiated infrastructure development projects in healthcare, education, and security as well as youth engagement and talent development.
Mr. Okofo-Dateh has had an extensive work experience in the public and private sector both in Ghana and abroad. He was a Coordinator for Senior High Schools in the Jaman North District Education Office, where he ensured the implementation of education policies and teacher training programs. He has been the Manager of Hunter’s Empire Hotel, and Farm Manager of Ansu Cocoa Farms. He was also the proprietor/manager of Okofo Security Ltd in London, UK. His leadership style combines strategic foresight with operational excellence, and he is recognized for his teamwork and results-driven approach.
Mr. Okofo-Dateh holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Exeter (UK), a Master of Arts in Peace and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), and a Bed degree in Population and Family Life from the University of Cape Coast. He also holds a Teachers’ Certificate “A” from the Berekum Teacher Training College.
He has served on key parliamentary committees including Judiciary, Foreign Affairs, and Education, and was a board member of Kaaseman Rural Bank from 2021 to 2024. Mr. Okofo-Dateh is fluent in English and Twi, with proficiency in French.
