Mr. Philip Oppong Amponsah is a highly dedicated and results-driven leader with a strong background in community development, Management, Consultancy and local government practices.
His career reflects over two decades of experience in both the private and public sectors with vast knowledge in project management, fund raising, and local and foreign negotiations.
From 2013 to 2017, Mr. Amponsah served as the Municipal Chief Executive of the Techiman Municipality, where he led transformative development initiatives across multiple sectors. Under his leadership saw the construction of major educational facilities which included ICT Laboratories and scholarships for students, expansion of healthcare facilities, electricity and road network, the development of agricultural and security infrastructures and many other projects.
Mr. Amponsah’s extensive work experience is not limited to only Ghana but also abroad. He has worked in diverse roles with Southside Partnership, Oxfam International and Lionsbridge (UNHCR-Dublin) all in the Republic of Ireland.
Prior to his appointment as deputy CEO of Ghana Integrated Iron and Steel Development Corporation, he was a full-time farmer and the Chief Executive Officer Phichris Enterprise.
Mr. Amponsah holds a MSc degree in Equality and Social Justice from the University College of Dublin - Ireland, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cape Coast.
He is widely recognized for his confidence, dynamism, selflessness, versatility, team player, and commitment to community development, and remains guided by Christian values in both his personal and professional life.
