Kwabena Bonsu Fordwor is a lawyer and a business executive with over 33 years of experience in the quarrying and mining industry. He has strong leadership and management skills with extensive knowledge of technical concepts in quarrying and mineral extraction and the ability to handle complex labour negotiations.

Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Integrated Iron and Steel Development Corporation, Mr. Fordwor was the Managing Director of K.A.S. Products Limited, a quarrying company responsible for producing granite aggregates for the road and building industry located at Bouho in the Ashanti region of Ghana.

Mr. Fordwor has also worked with Southern Cross Mining Limited a joint venture gold mining company between Ghana, represented by State Gold Mining Corporation (SGMC) and an Australian company.

Mr. Fordwor also managed EKF Construction & Trading Limited which dealt in heavy-duty mining equipment rental, trading in tyres produced by Bonsa Tyre Limited and locally produced plywood.

He has over the years formed strong relationships with key players in the mining and quarrying industry and was a founding member of the Commercial Quarries Association and was also the Vice-Chairman of the Northern Sector Quarries Association. He is also a member of Lions Club International and a past president of one of its affiliates, the Kumasi Royal Lions Club.

Mr. Fordwor graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London and also has a Master of Arts degree in Business Law
