The Green Ghana Project is an initiative by the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources to encourage afforestation.

This year’s Green Ghana projects targets the planting of 20 million trees on the 10th of June 2022

To ensure the success of the Green Ghana campaign, the government of Ghana provided free seedlings to all individuals government ,non governmental organisation and traditional leaders.

As part of activities marking the day, GIISDEC as an agency under the ministry of Lands and Natural Resources also joined the president, sector minister, chiefs and staff other agencies to commemorate the Green Ghana Day 2022
